My Adulthood was animated: Samurai Champloo

My new favorite Anime is Samurai Champloo...One day Esteban let me hold the first dvd..5 episodes..and i fell in love with it for many reasons....NOW!!! It's very very hard for me to get into these 'newer' anime shows....starting off with Dragonball, sets the standard soooooo high.... but... not discredit this amazing show, there ARE a few dragonball-esque elements in it, but that goes for many new anime shows... Now that I'm 16 episodes deep into this 26 episode series...I really get the feeling I'm suppose to get from watching an epic tale like this one..another reason why I think I'm so attached to this show now, is because It's SOOOO hip hop...from the intro, the music, the fighting style, scene transitions....everything about it is hiphop
There is Mugen, the hot headed ronin who loves fighting, cursing, sex, and himself..he's pretty much a selfish douchebag. His fighting style resembles copeira/breakdancing. Jin is a mild-mannered ronin who has respect, honor, and a passion for the martial arts. His fighting style is very traditional. He is one of the very few people who own a pair of glasses in this time period in Japan. Fuu is a 15 year old girl who is quirky, loudmouthed, and is the "glue" of the group. She's often insecure with her looks when being compared to women much older than her..

The story takes place in Japan, during the Edo period (1603-1868). **The fact that this story takes place so long ago was a major plus, modern day stories are cool...but you can really feel the tone of a story done correctly when placed in the past or future** Fuu worked in a tea shop, and one day, a crazy series of events involving strangers Jin and Mugen, *all taking place in the shop** ended up being the result of these three traveling together..Fuu is using Mugen and Jin as bodyguards as they search for the "Samurai who smells like Sunflowers"... A highlight and also Dragonball-esque thing about this story, other than the fact that they are traveling, is that during the dowtime of the story there is much comic relief, but as the story builds throughout each episode it gets very very serious... for the first 6 or 7 eps it's a great show, but feels like its just three people traveling who argue yet have to stay together for trivial reasons...but as the story continues, each one of the characters own stories start to reveal their pasts and why they are the way they are now...It's a beautiful adventure really...I haven't finished yet, but hands down, this is one of the best television shows I've ever seen in my life... One thing I'll say is...music wise, no anime can touch Samurai Champloo... I have ten more episodes to go, and I'm almost sad to see it come to an end soon...but..with this kind of story, you can only go but so far... with DB being about 499 episodes, and Pokemon being well over 6 0r 700 episodes..it's almost a relief to see a series that's short but very sweet...

If you watch this, you'll be able to see a similarity in the relationship between Goku and Vegeta, with Mugen and Jin... the whole "only I can kill you" thing, but deep down they care...

I forgot to mention... THE ANIMATION IS NEAR PERFECTION!!!!!!!!!!!

My Discovery of Greatness on the Internet pt.2: "We Need Girlfriends"

It's been about a year now since I discovered this hilarious "online" sitcom called We Need Girlfriends. It's about three friends Rod, Tom, and Henry, living together in Astoria Park NYC... the 10 episode season is showing these characters going through breakups, bad choices, dates, and their own personal relationships. Tom is kind of shy, well spoken, and thinks things through. Rod is a loudmouth, cursing, womanizing, douchebag-like guy who prides himself in his dvd collection. And Henry is a soft spoken, kinda of nerdy/but witty kind of guy who worries about everything and is a religious X-files fan...lol Henry's the best character if you ask me... I wathched every episode at least 4 or 5 times... and it's good solid comedy, and well put together... After they received many views and reviews on the net, CBS picked them up for a pilot that'll be aired in September...of course I'll be watching, also, check out their entire online season at http://www.weneedgirlfriends.tv/ ... i'm giving a thanks to Ragtag productions and Steven Tsapales for creating this great show....

Douchebag Time part one: Hobbies...or lack of one

So... If you checked my wishlist you'd see that I finally got my dbz season five dvd... (this is how the story starts) so, I'm at a house watching the dvd..all into it and shit...cause i just got off work, and wanted to enjoy something that's been apart of me since I was young... Douchebag comes in and sits, and starts making comments like "I'm too old to be watching to this shit... y'all too old to be watching this.." ??????????? So naturally I get annoyed super duper fast... the only thing that I shot back at him was "What does a person our age watch...or SUPPOSE to watch"? He had no answer...of course... I asked about four more times...still no answer...now... I got upset kinda easily, but isn't that wrong to bash someones personal hobbies or things they love... in their house at that... I think some people don't have any HOBBIES or PERSONALITY of their own, therefore they have to criticize other peoles intrestest, because their either to dull to have their own, or too afraid to show what they're really interested in because tney'd be criticized too... I've always been different, so i'm use to this, but I'd think as an adult people would respect your things... I Have the solution, Maybe if I forced myself to drink liquor that didn't taste good to me, got high off of drugs that I don't even know where they came from, or bought cars and clothes that all my friends did just to please them...then finally I wouldn't be critiqued on what i should like at the age of 22, because someone has already told me exactly what to like or dislike... People.... don't be a Douchebag like this young man... let people be themeselves and get off their d**k please... thank you..

Sooooooo.... I usually do this section of my blog on attractive celebrities... But... Some people are celebrities to people personally... So... As I move on, This Blog is abou Tiana Nichelle... No, that's not her real name...and why did I block out her eyes in these pics...ahhh..I don't like putting people i personally know on blast, so I did it this way...plus, with the "mirrors for eyes line..." I thought it would pretty cool to do it like that.

Tiana Nichelle...I've known her since almost the beginning of grade school... yeah I know....a long time.. admired her from a far for many years... Was finally blessed with her prescence recently.. Beautiful as all outdoors....(what does that mean...lol) really...just plain gorgeous... Funny as hell... intelligent... independent... fun to be around. I feel this energy about Tiana Nichelle, just being around her. I don't get that from MOST people. From now on, I can only be around people like that in my life. One's who are just a pleasure to be around..and just a beautiful person alltogether...

Nothing but smiles and laughs when I'm around Tiana. She makes me want to be a better person... yeah that's joe to say... but it's true... I almost feel like I don't deserve to be around a person like her until I get my sh** straight...really. I know that putting some one on a pedestal isn't cool...and is corny, but f*** it if it's the truth you know...Besides being bangin...and fun and all that other chocolatey goodness...I see a great person... always was...

I was always wondering why it took so long for this video to come out... According to Kanye's blog, he said he didn't like the first two versions, and then the one with Rita G was done, and he liked it.... But out of the two newer versions... Some one leaked the two videos and of course he doesn't approve of either one...One was kinda' wack...the other was super duper Amazing...the cinematography and scenery was crazy...The concept reminded me of like the game Clue or a Transelvania kind of thing going on...
